Terumetal Alloy Smelter

The Terumetal Alloy Smelter is essentially the core of this mod in that it allows you to create nearly all the required materials to make its tools and other machinery.

When placed somewhere in the world, the alloy smelter can be accessed with a right-click and used like a vanilla Minetest chest or furnace.

Usage

Heat

See Machine Heat.

Heat is used by the smelter both to melt flux and complete the alloying process. If in the middle of either of these heat runs out, the smelter will stop and provide a status message saying so.

Flux

The Alloy Smelter takes melted terumetal and uses it as flux to create new alloys or materials.

First, raw terumetal lumps should be inserted to the left input slots to fill the internal tank shown as the meter on the left of the UI. Then, items to alloy that molten flux with can be inserted afterwards. If enough flux is in the tank, then the machine will begin its work. Once the process is finished, the result will be placed in the output on the right side of the UI.

Moving the Machine

All items contained in the smelter will be dropped if the machine itself is broken, including the contents of the flux tank! Unrealistically yet conveniently, all melted flux will be dropped as Crystallized Terumetal and can be reused with only the heat and time spent to re-melt them later. Note that 1 Crystallized Terumetal produces two flux. When the machine is broken, you will get 1 Crystallized Terumetal per 2 flux, rounded down.

All Terumetal machines retain the heat in them when broken and picked up and the Alloy Smelter is no exception.
