Crystal Vulcanizer

The crystal vulcanizer is a machine with a set of highly-specialized heating chambers that can oscillate between very specific temperatures rapidly. Many materials such as metal lumps and naturally-occurring ore containing diamonds and mese can be reduced to an entirely pure crystallized state with this treatment.

The resulting crystallized material can then be heated in a more conventional way to create a pure ingot or diamond/mese crystal itself. Since multiple crystals can be made from a single piece of raw source material this allows less waste and more ingots or diamonds/mese to be claimed from raw materials.

Lumps of metal can be inserted for crystallization, but roughly hand-harvested diamonds or mese crystals are too unstable for the process themselves. The only way to reliably crystallize diamonds and mese is with the raw ore itself, which is troublesome to gather only with a basic pickaxe. In order to gather a large enough sample of ore for crystallizing without smashing it to bits will require an Ore-cutting Saw.
