The high-temperature furnace is, as its name implies, a furnace that is capable of heating things quickly and efficiently compared to a more primitive fuel-fired furnace.
Using heat energy directly, it cooks or smelts items in less than half the time the standard Minetest furnace can, sometimes even near-instantly. Creating glass or smooth stone is much faster and more efficient with a high-temperature furnace, even when run on heat from a Furnace Heater. The amount of heat generated with specialized heat-based equipment will cook many more items than the fuel spent would in a less-efficient furnace.
The only drawback to the high-temperature furnace is that items that are particularly sensitive to rapid heat changes, such as Thermese Blocks, may have an undesirable reaction. It is not recommended to heat such items in this furnace.
