GOALS:

Know the different basic concepts that govern the export of the network to the hydraulic model, as well as the export peculiarities of each of the elements of the network and the options that the tool allows us.

DESCRIPTION

First of all, we must take into account which elements of our network will be exported at the time of exporting to the INP file. We must know that there are two ways to govern the export, by the attribute of the elements: hydraulic sector, state_type or epa_type, or by network topology, both hydraulic topology (those unsupplied nodes), and geometric topology (sections or disconnected nodes of the supply network).

The following table details what and how the export is governed.

At the time of generating the export to the INP file, it is necessary to know that some elements of the network may undergo a transformation on the flight. This will depend on the export parameters chosen or on how we have configured the 'additional' hydraulic attributes of said element.

The following table shows the correspondence of said transformation for each type of network element for the ws scheme.

In the same way, the transformations for the ud scheme are presented.

When generating the INP file, it is necessary that all the network elements contain the minimum information required to be able to carry out the hydraulic simulation. To complete this information in a simplified way, the tool has several special options that are shown below.

At the data level, we have the option of completing the information using default values, or advanced options to finish adding according to what detail information, as detailed in the following table.

Finally, there are two export modes, the transport or normal mode (it is the standard model for exporting the elements), and the buildupmode or fast model (it is a simplified model for calculating downstream networks).
