On the image below you can see the difference between the inventory point of view (orange ones) and EPANET point of view (blue ones) when it comes to arc features.
From the inventory point of view an ARC may be [PIPE or VARC].
From the EPANET point of view an ARC may be [PIPE, VIRTUALPUMP(*), VIRTUALVALVE(*) or UNDEFINED].
(*) VIRTUALPUMP and VIRTUALVALVE are new features created on Giswater that fit with real EPA as PUMP AND VALVE being arcs in INVENTORY WORLD.
On the image below you can see the difference between the inventory point of view (orange ones) and EPANET point of view (blue ones) when it comes to node features.
From the inventory point of view a NODE may be [EXPANSIONTANK, FILTER, FLEXUNION, HYDRANT, JUNCTION, MANHOLE, METER, NETELEMENT, NETSAMPLEPOINT, NETWJOIN, PUMP, REDUCTION, REGISTER, SOURCE, TANK, VALVE, WATERWELL or WTP] .
From EPANET point of view, a node may be [JUNCTION, TANK, RESERVOIR, INLET (*), SHORTPIPE (*), VALVE or UNDEFINED].
(*) INLET and SHORTPIPE are new features created on Giswater that fit with real EPA as INLET [TANK or RESERVOIR] and SHORTPIPE [PIPE with short length acting as shutoff-valve].
