Information on development process...

Branches

[master] - latest release branch (once 1.0 is released)
[development] - cutting edge development, please branch from here if you wish to submit patches
[release-1.0] - 1.0 release path - open until final bugs are completed and 1.0 is released. it will be merged to master at that point

Other branches are transient at this time.
