SunnyTown is an immersive 3D story driven decision based game intended to help users understand the effects of climate change and raise awareness of certain actions which might be harmful to the environment.

The main controls for the game through the use of the mouse to either select decisions or progress through the story by pressing the continue>> button. Additionally the player can also control the camera and the controls are:

w a s d: Camera Movement

q e : Camera Rotation

z x : Zoom

Game Objective/Mechanics

The objective of the game is for the user to balance out key resources to progress through the entire story line. The player is prompted with two types of requests; random requests and story requests. Story requests are plot decisions which contribute to the player's overall story while a random request can occur at any time and an exclamation mark will appear above the town hall. If random requests from the residents of SunnyTown are ignored then the town happiness decreases.

The resource bar is presented as below. Starting from the left; each icon represents town happiness, how much money the town has left and environment health. To make the changes in resources clear whenever a resource is negatively impacted by a decision the corresponding resource bar turns red and green if it is positively impacted. Once either of these resources are completely depleted the player will get voted out by the towns people and lose the game.

Achievements

Certain achievements can also be obtained while playing SunnyTown when the player does something cool. These are for the players to discover hence not much is written in the basic tutorial section. Alternatively, check out the Achievements section if you are struggling to find all of them.
