CybOX 2.1 Release Planning

This pages discusses contains information about the upcoming CybOX 2.1 release. When complete, CybOX 2.1 will be available on the main CybOX website.

Release Timeline

  • Initial Draft: December 19 – This will incorporate all major changes and a vast majority of minor changes. It should let you see the overall picture of the new version, but there will almost certainly be minor changes between the draft and the release candidate as we finalize the schemas and do testing.
  • Release Candidate: January 9 – This will be equivalent to the final release unless any issues in it are identified. Its primary purpose is to allow yourselves and us to do some final testing to ensure that what gets published as the final release is as bug-free as possible.
  • Final Release: January 23 – This is the final, official release. If any issues are found in the release candidate they will be fixed, otherwise this will just be a re-release of the release candidate.

Community Proposals

We welcome and encourage any feedback with regards to these proposals. You can either reply to the corresponding thread on the cybox-discussion email list or by commenting on one of the open issues linked to in a given proposal (you will need a GitHub account for the latter). Feedback you don’t wish to make public can be sent to [email protected], although we encourage public feedback whenever possible.

New proposals will be added to this page and announced on the cybox-discussion email list.
