  • TechEx CFP - Deadline is Friday, April 27.
    • Mark will draft proposal for pS team to review before submission
    • UofM submitting a genereal session about pS on Embedded Hardware
    • UofM submitting workshop on perfSONAR with Ansible
    • GEANT submitting talk on perfSONAR in GEANT
    • Mark will look into hosting developer face-to-face at TechEx
  • BWCTL support
    • OSG choice now is scenario 2 (not on new installs, but enabled for existing). Looking at numbers currently to see the impact of #3.
    • We know we will at least do scenario 2, so proceed with that. Will make decision on scenario 3 when OSG gets back to us on the effect next week.
  • OSG transitions
    • OSG in transition phase, in sixth year of five year funding
    • Changes being made that OSG GOC will be going away
    • Moving ~10 VMs to Tier2 cluster at UMich
    • Esmond VM will go away
    • MaDDash will point at individual archives
  • Internet2 perfSONAR dev farm update (Mark)
    • Available
    • Would be nice to have hosts that nightly do fresh install
  • NTP vs chrony issue
    • Confirmed that we will drop OPPD support in 4.1, no changes to 4.0 requirements

Things that can wait:

  • Versioning and Branching (Mark) - This can wait a couple of weeks if needed.

    • Andy went over 4.1 task in a bit more depth
    • Shooting for early March beta with early May (Global Summit) final release
    • Good chance March will slip since a fair amount of testing needed at this point

    • Andy working on getting some new VMs for ESnet for dev dashboard
  • Vendor code
    • Discussed how to handle vendor contributions, decided need to do case-by-case and tend to only support hosting if of general use not specific to one product. In particular for embedded efforts, encourage vendors to host own work and will point to on doc pages if necessary.
  • Face-to-Face Meeting Topics
    • See doc, added some new items
    • Andy will try to have first draft schedule out by next Thursday

    • March 7-8th is final date for face-to-face
    • Requirements workshop effort will be spinning back-up

    • No updates
  • Integration of UNInet tool (Antoine)
    • Has tool that performs a latency measurements
    • May be room for him to replace CRUDE(?) tool with OWAMP
    • Also has nice traceroute visualization, could adapt to perfsonar data format in theory
  • OWAMP and Linux Namespaces
    • Could maybe update OWAMP to create threads in different namespaces
    • For testing may be easier to manually create OWAMPD on one end and just run tests to see load, etc
