8 Dec 2015 Midterm project demo done.

27 Nov 2015 App is now running on tablet bought by client. It works to run the real robot with some minor tweaks to the robot code. we demoed the working app with the client and he drove the robot around the building with it. We had a meeting with the client to discuss future updates and features.

20 Oct 2015 Our group has a basic demo working on one computer. It steers a virtual robot in a simulator using a virtual joystick in an android program. We are now trying to get that working on everyone's computer. I tried using a virtual machine to run the programs, but my laptop could not handle the load. I now have linux dual booting on my laptop and am working on making the simulator work properly with it.

27 Sept 2015 We met with the client and discussed the design of the app. We decided to order two tablets to work on with the robot. We also went to the robotics lab with the client to look at the robot and discuss safety when using it.

11 Sept 2015 We have had our first meeting with the client. We discussed how the robot app could work. We have been assigned homework to research existing apps that may do some of the things we need already and to look at what tablets would be good to buy for the project.
