Beta 2

Bug Fixes

  • Changed delay on Chromium's auto-start to allow enough time for the rails server to fully start
  • The downloads menu should now download the newest version of TDSSKiller
  • Fixed an incorrect folder path setting in Bluescreenview that would cause the list of BSOD's to always be empty
  • Client partition detection was changed to use the "parted -l" command to produce more reliable results when working with newer Windows 8 systems
  • All file objects are now closed properly after they are done being used to generate logs. This will help with open file limit errors in the live environment

Changes

  • Underlying live environment upgraded to Ubuntu 13.04
  • Updated the style of the row being hovered over in the file logs to avoid the list "jumping" around visually
  • Choosing to open a file browser anywhere in the app no longer navigates you away from the file list you're working with
  • A few more warnings when going through the process of cleaning temp files have been added
  • All downloads in the download function are now checked by default
  • Some layout changes to the data output on the Network Health Test
  • All "executable" file types are now highlighted in RED when viewing the "All Files Modified On A Particular Date" log

New Features

  • You can now view any user's Internet Explorer browsing history to try to pinpoint the source of an infection using the date and time learned from the file scans
  • Added a visual file browser to browse for and automatically enter the folder paths when using the "Complete Folder Copy" function

Beta 1

Bug Fixes

  • Switched to GPT file system detection from MBR to facilitate Windows 8 and mac file-system mounting
  • Prompt user with information if the drive fails to auto-mount to inform about Windows 8 quirkyness

New Features

  • Added status messages to form submission buttons for when a long process triggers
  • Added project logo throughout site
  • Added network gateway detection and auto-fill to the Network Health Test
  • Modified Unity favorites bar to only display relevant applications
  • Added an option to open Nautilus from the folder copy process to browse for files
  • Updated art throughout the live environment
  • Changed the default web browser to Chromium
  • Added option to open containing folder for any file found in any file list
  • Added temperature output display in the Hardware Stress Test
  • Added Manual mount option if drive is not auto-mounted

Alpha 4

  • Changed the auto-open behavior of Firefox on boot to a user launch-able script on the desktop to try to avoid inconsistent launches. You may still have to refresh the browser if Firefox fails to load the page the first time.

Alpha 3

  • Added "Network Health Test" and a "Hardware Stress Test" features. Other minor improvements

Alpha 2

  • More stability fixes and some artwork done

Alpha 1

  • Initial release. Software is fully working but is not feature complete and is a little ugly at the moment. Fully bootable ISO images will be available via sourceforge.
