= Introduction =

"Shanks with MASON" is a framework to simulate different network scenarios in order to add autonomic capabilities using MASON simulation framework.

To achieve this goal, a multi-agent system (MAS) is used to handle possible situations in the scenario. These agents are able to analyse environment data, perform inference and self-healing actions, etc.

SHANKS understands a network as a set of devices that are connected together through links with the purpose of communicate between them. Keep this level of abstraction, though it may seem simpler, because it allows you to customize the tool and the simulation network as much as you want (or rather, as much as you are willing to invest time on it).

This wiki has two main sections: Architecture and Manuals.

Architecture section contains information about the design of the simulation framework and Manuals contains tutorials to learn how to use this tool for your simulations.
