LEOSatData - is a web service for storing and sharing the data coming from r2cloud base stations. This service is especially useful for base station remote operation.

Getting started

Registration is open and available for everyone.

LEOSatData register

Once account created, go to the "Configuration" -> "Base stations" menu.

LEOSatData base stations

Click on "Submit" and add new base station.

You can give any meaningful name for the base station and (optional) coordinates. Once base station created, it will be assigned an "Api Key". This is secret api key, which should NOT be shared with anyone. This api key will be used by the base station to send data to LEOSatData.

Go back to your r2cloud base station UI and navigate to the "Configuration" -> "Integrations"

Enter an Api Key. Optionally select "Upload spectogram". This will slightly increase outgoing traffic from the base station, but could greatly help with result analysis.

Daily usage

If everything is configured correctly, then the base station will submit all observations:

  • Their meta data like start time, end time, SDR parameters, TLE used &etc.
  • Demodulated data. If no data demodulated, then observation will still be uploaded.
  • Spectrogram of the raw IQ signal.
