Utilizing search engines

Bing is a preferable search engine because it archives images for longer, but if Bing doesn't work for you then feel free to use another search engine. Search Bitstrips [username] in the search bar and you might see some references to images or links.

If you do find an image of your comic, click on it and view the link provided. We will use Hazzar as an example again.

In this case, when we look up bitstrips Hazzar, we are able to find some comics in through images.

Let's say we choose to check out the third image. Once we click on it, we are sent to a cstrips.bitstrips.com link with something like this.

Cstrips is the CDN Bitstrips used to store comics. When we were sent emails to download our comics after the site shut down, they were in this form. They still exist, regardless of us being unable to retrieve them through emails anymore.

However, this method may not yield results for you. If this is the case, try searching for friends and/or popular bitstrippers that you remember on the site, in case you either commented on their comics and/or befriended them. You can then add their ID into the address bar and look around their page.

Don't worry about the screen cap date in the link. It will automatically change to the proper screen cap when you enter in the ID. It should look something like this: https://web.archive.org/web/20140713121610/http://bitstrips.com/user/[USER-ID-HERE]/
