- November 21st, 10:00 AM Eastern: Migrating from Islandora 7 to Islandora 8
- Github Migration Complete
- Documentation Sprint - November 11th - 22nd
- CLAWdit almost complete!
- Issue Roundup
- ... (feel free to add agenda items)
-
Webinars upcoming! Both will require (free) registration, have question periods if you can make it live, and will be recorded and put on youtube.
- UPEI webinar will be the first of "here's what we're doing with it"!
- Danny will demo migration tools (as requested from the Con)
-
We've moved! We've transferred all github repos to github.com/Islandora. There's some sort of tagging going on so that each repo has I7 or I8 tags. Islandora is the only one tagged with both - branches distinguish between the two. We can now purge CLAW for good! claw-playbook is Islandora Playbook. (Except the migrate tools, there is some trouble de-clawing that). There were some issues with Travis/Packagist (packagist wasn't getting redirected to the new location on Islandora... but Danny magically poked Packagist until it worked, ask him if you see this again).
- Committer groups (7x, 8x) will remain distinct and will have different permissions on different branches. Islandora 8 workflow is still in the works, to be reviewed by Coordinating Cmte on Friday. Will be a little more streamlined - no 24h waiting period. Nothing has changed for Islandora 7 stuff.
- The Repo that used to be CLAW is now Islandora/documentation. The "Issues" queue on there is where our main issue queue now is.
-
Documentation Sprint! Blog post. It will overlap with US Thanksgiving. Links above and on the blog post to sign up, and claim a page. New "Buddy" column - a dev who knows the system and can explain to the documenter what it does.
- Danny will arrange a planning meeting to discuss additional pages.
-
CLAWDIT! almost done.
- Questions about whether to roll in high-demand features like breadcrumbs into Islandora core (with a toggle) vs a submodule with its own readme page. Arguments were made on both sides.
-
Issue Roundup (can we get them in the release?)
- Audio tn's: Homarus can now create PNG's (merged); now kayakr has an open PR. Can someone merge?
- Versioning: where are we at? Eli, Seth: derivatives messed up? Possibly due to the testing process? Jared will test. Is this conceptually hook_node_insert/hook_node_update the right time to set the version flag? There's a misalignment between the concepts of versions between Drupal and Fedora. Or is there? Discussion ensued. We're gonna figure out how to "line them up".
- FITS - needs a tester for Danny's PR.
-
Anything else?
- Issue 1280: Document field types? will be included in the sprint.
