We should display the (normalized) query parameters on the result page in a clear section above the result messages.

The details should include:

  • all values that affected the outcome of the test. This helps users understand the presumptions under which the test results were determined.
  • all the actual values that were used when calculating the fingerprint, as well as the test item creation time. This helps users figure out why a previous test result was or wasn't reused.

It only makes sense for values provided by the user. If the user has only provided the name of the zone to be tested, then it is more confusing to state things like IP transport, profile and queue. It could be OK if is done in a way the requires the user to click on something to unfold the details.

@matsduf Maybe we could have a feature in GUI that lets the user flip between an advanced and a basic result view?

@matsduf Maybe we could have a feature in GUI that lets the user flip between an advanced and a basic result view?

That would be fine.
