I'm a junior at the University of California, San Diego majoring in Math-Computer Science with a minor in Cognitive Science. I have a deep passion for utilizing technology in service of others, particularly being drawn to full-stack development and machine learning.

I was selected as 1 of 150 from over 10,000 applicants to participate in the Accelerate program, completing weekly lectures, labs, and quizzes on full-stack development, testing, and the software development cycle under IBM engineers and experts. I developed a React to-do web application iteratively over 8 weeks, adding new features and technologies each week guided by IBM mentors.

At the Knight Lab at UC San Diego, I helped fine-tune an attention-based neural network with over 7,000 gut microbiome samples to predict an individual's diet given their microbiome profile, achieving a 20x lower Mean Squared Error in predicting an individual's Total Dietary Fiber intake compared to the state-of-the-art Random Forest Model.

In this project, I worked within a team of 7 developers to create a furniture item request interface for a nonprofit called Patriots and Paws, which has helped over 14,000 families receive over $11.5 million in household goods.
