Numbers in content titles

• Use numerals for cardinal numbers (1, 2,...) and ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, ...).
  • Example:
    • Only 5 More Days to Register for Webinar
    • WSO2 was Placed 1st in the Hockey Tournament

Numbers in articles, and other content

• Spell out cardinal numbers (one, two, and so on) and ordinal numbers (first, second, and so on) below 10.
• Use numerals for numbers 10 and above.
  • Note: Always use the percentage sign after a numeral. Don't spell it out in a title or content.

Large numbers

• Express large and very large numbers in numerals followed by million, billion, and so on.
• If a is a number is greater than 999 in numerals, use a comma.
  • Example:
    • 1 billion transactions
    • 3,300 users
• If space is tight use abbreviations as follows:
  • Example:
    • K - thousand (Use K only if its meaning is clear from the context; K can also mean kilobytes, kilograms etc.)
    • mi - million
    • bn - billion

Currency

• Express in symbols and numerals.
• Writing about different currencies that use the dollar, you can use
  • a letter or letters symbolizing the country followed by the $ sign
  • a three-letter country code as specified in ISO 4217:1995.
• Million can be shorted to m, billion to bn, and thousand to K.
  • Example:
    • $10,000
    • GBP 10,000
    • $3K
    • $1m
    • $3bn

Time

• Always indicate a.m. or p.m. in Pacific Time (PT).
  • Example:
    • 4 p.m. PT
    • 10.30 a.m. PT

Date

• Use the format Day, Month Date, year.
  • Example:
    • Wednesday, December 3, 2020
