opens new window in wrong monitor, moves window randomly to different workspace [monitor] .
using external monitor with my laptop. i usually don't keep anything on the laptop screen.
windows tend to move to the laptop window when opening or closing.
This problem happens to happen when there is less then two window in the workspace. if there is two window, it behaves normally if i am opening the third one and next. but behaves weirdly when less than 2 window present in the workspace.

Thank for your video.
so you have 1 window terminal open in workspace 1(desktop monitor)
but when you open another terminal in workspace 1 it spawn a new terminal on workspace 7(laptop monitor) but it should spawn on workspace 1.
Is that your issue?

Are you update the config i3_master.ini to your terminal termite?
https://github.com/windwp/i3-master-stack#config.
this issue is very strange. My code never move a window to different workspace.

yes i did. but it doesn't solve the problem.
also this problem doesn't only happen with terminal windows. it happens for any other window. browser for example.
-) now, could it be that, the positioning of new window cause the problem? because (my guess) in i3, when there is two different workspace in a different monitors, it behaves like a big workspace of the size of 2 workspaces.

I can observe the same behavior when using multiple monitors. @minhajsixybte Did you find a solution? @windwp Does this script work for you with multiple monitors?

i did not find a solution. i am busy with my running semester so i almost forgot about it and not using right now.
@windwp there can be one thing, when in dual screen setup, i3 can move from one screen to other without changing workspaces. the two workspace behaves somewhat like a big one workspace joined together.
