To download the Nami Wallet onto your phone or computer, visit the official Nami Wallet website.
Kindly opt for the Chrome browser. To download Nami Wallet onto your computer, click here and choose Chrome browser.
a. Click on "Add to Chrome."
b. Wait for a few seconds for it to install.
a. Click on the three dots on the right top corner of the toolbar. b. Go to extensions, manage extensions, enable Nami, and pin it on the toolbar.
Open Nami from the toolbar and click on "New Wallet." Agree to user terms and continue to save your seed phrase (the seed phrase is not to be shared with anyone as it can be used to gain access to your wallet).
a. Please select "Create." b. Proceed to create your account with a username and password.
The wallet has been successfully generated.
You can now have access to your Nami Wallet anytime on your computer by clicking on it from the toolbar.
Now that your Nami Wallet is pined on chrome, open it from your toolbar and click on the avatar at the top right of your wallet.
After clicking on the avatar,go to settings and select network, it gives you this interface above. Now change from mainnet to preprod and you are done.
Pre-Production TestnetThe preprod testnet helps to minimize the risk of bugs, security issues, and other problems that could negatively impact the Mainnet. Hard forks at approximately the same time as Mainnet (within an epoch of each other)
Mainnet is like the real action on a blockchain, where real transactions happen with real results. On the other hand, testnet is like a playground for developers to try out and improve their apps without any real risks.
