Here's a couple tips for library development:

Local development

To quickly modify library sources alongside your project do this:

  • Add library as git submodule
In terminal run git submodule add [email protected]:vivid-money/elmslie.git elmslie
  • Add this library as an included build
In settings.gradle add this line: apply from: "elmslie/gradle/elmslie_dev_mode.gradle"
  • Enable dev mode
In local.properties add this line: elmslie.dev.mode=true

After this dependencies to Elmslie will be replaced with source code localed in elmslie directory

Publishing

To publish the library:

  • Open the Actions tab
  • Select "Publish library release" workflow
  • Click "Run workflow"
  • Enter Github api token (it must have "repo" and "workflow" scopes)
  • Enter new library version
  • Click run
  • Wait until the action will complete successfully
