This is the second release candidate for 0.18.0

As always, back up your wallet prior to upgrading

Changes in this release:

  • Bootstrappable Vertcoin-Core builds using Guix for the following hosts
  • Checksum attestations of non-codesigned builds provided by community members at vertcoin-project/guix.sigs
  • Windows installer
  • Codesigned Windows installer and binaries
  • Codesigned and notarized macOS DMG
  • Faster startup time without PoW checks (still available with -full-startup-verify flag)
  • Merge upstream Bitcoin Core 0.21.2
  • All binaries for macOS
  • Binaries for RISC-V

Note: codesigned Windows and macOS builds will not be deterministic until the next major release, 0.19. Checksums of Windows and macOS binaries are located here vertcoin-project/guix.sigs
