Quick start

Welcome to the Fusotao documentation! This document provides a comprehensive overview of the Fusotao project, including its design intent, technical details, and usage instructions. Whether you're a user looking to manage your assets or a developer looking to build on the Fusotao platform, this document will provide you with all the information you need to get started.

What is Fusotao

Fusotao is a decentralized network designed primarily for verification of a matching system to ensure the safety of user assets during trading on the orderbook based exchanges. By combining the power of PoS consensus and a robust matching system verification process, Fusotao provides a secure and efficient solution for asset management, free from the risks and limitations of centralized exchanges.

What makes Fusotao different

People may wonder why choose to build another blockchain rather than developing a smart contract for the purpose. And what's the main difference between Fusotao and other blockchains. Fusotao does not aim to be a high-performance general-purpose Layer 2 network. Even on the Fusotao chain, there is no contract virtual machine that can dynamically deploy contracts. The main goal of Fusotao is to become a permissionless decentralized trading network, while incorporating the advantages of both Defi and Cefi and avoiding their drawbacks.

How it works

Instead of executing orders on all nodes of the network, Fusotao applies a paradigm execute off-chain, verify on-chain. That means, the order execution are always happened out of the chain, but nothing would be changed until the result being verified.
