Confession

When I started developing Ronvis, my focus was purely on creating something useful

and innovative. I was so caught up in the process that I overlooked the importance of acknowledging and crediting the open-source codes and resources that helped shape Ronvis into what it is today. Back then, my understanding and appreciation for the open-source community's norms and the significance of proper attribution were, regrettably, lacking.

However, my perspective has significantly changed over the years. Today, I deeply value the open-source community's ethos and the critical importance of giving due credit to fellow developers and their invaluable contributions. I understand that building on the work of others without proper acknowledgment is not in line with the principles of openness, collaboration, and respect that the open-source community stands for.

Here's My Commitment:

I am now making a sincere effort to rectify this oversight. If you recognize any piece of code or resource in Ronvis that hasn't been properly credited, please reach out to me. I am committed to doing the following:

  • Acknowledging the Original Work: I will ensure that all open-source codes and resources used in Ronvis are properly acknowledged within the project documentation and source files, giving credit where it's due.
  • Correcting the License Information: If any third-party open-source code was used under a specific license, I will make sure to comply with that license, including distributing license texts and making necessary disclosures.
  • Contributing Back: Where possible, I aim to contribute back to the open-source projects that Ronvis has benefited from, whether through code contributions, donations, or community support.

How You Can Help:

  • Identify Uncredited Work: If you notice any uncredited work or believe that some parts of Ronvis could be better aligned with open-source licensing norms, please don't hesitate to inform me.
  • Advice and Guidance: I welcome any advice, guidance, or resources that could help me in properly managing and attributing open-source work within Ronvis.

Contact Information:

For any concerns, suggestions, or contributions, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected]. Your input will be invaluable in ensuring Ronvis respects and honors the open-source community's efforts and contributions.

This confession is not just an acknowledgment of past oversights but a pledge towards better practices. I believe in the power of open-source to drive innovation and build stronger, more inclusive software communities. Thank you for your understanding, support, and help in making Ronvis a project that not only leverages the collective wisdom of developers worldwide but also contributes positively back to the ecosystem.
