This application solves for the best way to cut parts out of a stock length in order to minimize scrap, a problem known as the "cutting stock problem." It uses two powerful algorithms known as column generation and branch & bound to quickly and reliably deliver the optimum solution.

Version 1.2 includes the following improvements:
-a file menu that allows the user to save and open files
-a cancel button in order to stop a nesting calculation that is taking too long
-a "maximum parts per nest" parameter
-various bug fixes

Antivirus software will generally flag this application as suspicious even though it is not malware, but I promise it does not contain any viruses :)
