Problem Statement

The project aims to address food disparity in urban and rural areas by connecting surplus food with charitable organizations to distribute it to those in need.

Novelty

  • Providing an end-to-end solution
  • Indian-based solution tailored for the Indian market
  • Intuitive UI/UX design

Present Challenges with the Problem Statement

  • Absence of a platform in the Indian market
  • Failure to address food disparity effectively
  • Lack of comprehensive end-to-end implementation, considering diversity
  • Inaccessible and unintuitive user interface
  • Substantial food wastage daily
  • Disposal of leftover food instead of utilization by the needy

Our Proposed Solutions

  • Implementing an end-to-end solution to bridge the gap between excess food and charitable organizations
  • Incorporating visual impact and tracking features
  • Introducing a dashboard displaying real-time environmental and social impacts of food donations
  • Offering incentives for frequent participation
  • Collaborating with warehouses and government agencies for storage and preservation of raw and prepared food
  • Recruiting volunteer individuals and organizations for food delivery
  • Encouraging collaboration among apartments and societies to donate surplus food for pickup by volunteers
