That being said: The documentation there isn't particularly helpful either, my actual goal is to figure out a) why my project depends on this plugin, and b) how the simple-git warning could be fixed:

simple-git deprecation notice: git.silent: logging should be configured using the `debug` library / `DEBUG` environment variable, this will be an error in version 3

Hey @ankon - I believe it's not the correct repo - the plugin is available here: https://github.com/serverless/enterprise-plugin#readme
It's a dependency of the Framework that is not used if you're not using our premium offerings.

As for the simple-git deprecation - it has been fixed with https://github.com/serverless/enterprise-plugin/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md#443-2021-02-09 - doing a fresh installation of the Framework should help
