# Roadmap for Year 1 Steering Council

PySAL Steering Council

The steering council will be charged with the following:

• updating our governance documentation
• drafting a roadmap for the pysal project
• identify ecosystem-wide activities and propose best practices
• serve as the mediation body for technical disputes that may arise

Roadmap for Steering Council 2022:

• deprecate pysal.geometry
• standardize gha recipes (ideally find way to reuse across subpackages)
• formalize conventions (e.g. versioneer)
• teaching resources & workshop material library
  • update "notebooks" directory convention
  • move notebooks inside docs
  • build tutorials and examples for each subpackage inside docs (ideally following guidelines from (https://documentation.divio.com/#)
• standardize tooling for changelog
