I would like to create a new landing page for a sub collection within the main LAE site, which would show up in a new "collections" facet. #283

@kelea99 For us, ideally we'd migrate LAE to DPUL and this feature would be closed by that. Is there some alternative to this where we wouldn't have to add a feature to the LAE frontend? |
@tpendragon , if the collection is moved to DPUL, functionality already exists for this feature in it and it wouldn't be a problem. Re: LAE to DPUL - @escowles , was there ever serious talk of migrating the boutique site to DPUL? If not, should there be? |
@kelea99 We've talked about merging LAE into DPUL before. In the past, we've felt like the history of the site and the grant funding justified maintaining a separate application. But I think it's worth comparing the current feature sets, and discussing the possibility with the stakeholders. |
Use case from Fernando: Ideally, the photographs would be presented as a subcollection of LAE with its own presentation page. They would be discoverable by going directly to that presentation page or via the broader LAE site.
We would like to have a new facet possibly called Collections. This new Chilean photos collection would be the first one. Next would probably be the collection of images from the Dominican Studies Institute.
