CSS style variables are removed from the v0.1.X release path in version v0.1.7 to maintain compatibility with IE11/Edge. If you wish to use style variables for theming of actionable text icons design, use v1.0.0 or later. To use style variables and maintain IE11/Edge compatibility, you will need to use a style module rather than plain sass/css.
