The 'view' web client shows live updates by changing the background color of different elements to orange and then back to normal. The current effect is confusing and ugly. The following are the proposed alternatives to the current effect.
When there is an new update, a drawer like notification box would slide out from the right edge of the Sled logo, with text message inside. The notification would stay for 3 seconds and then slide back into the logo.
When there is an new update, a floating card would emerge from the back of the app panel with an ease-in effect. The card would stay in the center for 3 seconds and then ease out from the top.
When there is an new update, a text thread would emerge from the back of the app panel, pushed up by a cloud with an ease in effect. The message would stay in the center for 3 seconds and then ease out from the top.
When there is an new update, an orange outline box would circle the area with the new update to highlight the change, with an ease-in, ease-out effect.
When there is an new update, the color of the icon and/or text of the newly-updated info would change to orange for 3 seconds and then change back to its original color.
When there is an new update, a cloud icon that says “New” would violate the area with the new update to highlight the change, with an ease-in, ease-out effect.
