### Configure exposing services to isolated networks
#### Service API component
Each API component of a service supports exposing their endpoint to an isolated network
Each API component of a service supports service overrides which allows to customize the created k8s service for an endpoint. The default service type for an endpoint is `ClusterIP` service. To expose an API endpoint to the isolated network a `LoadBalancer` can be used.

```yaml
externalEndpoints:
description: ExternalEndpoints, expose a VIP using a pre-created IPAddressPool
items:
description: MetalLBConfig to configure the MetalLB loadbalancer service
properties:
endpoint:
description: Endpoint, OpenStack endpoint this service maps to
enum:
- internal
- public
type: string
ipAddressPool:
description: IPAddressPool expose VIP via MetalLB on the IPAddressPool
minLength: 1
type: string
loadBalancerIPs:
description: LoadBalancerIPs, request given IPs from the pool
if available. Using a list to allow dual stack (IPv4/IPv6) support
items:
type: string
type: array
sharedIP:
default: true
description: SharedIP if true, VIP/VIPs get shared with multiple services
type: boolean
sharedIPKey:
default: ""
description: SharedIPKey specifies the sharing key which gets
set as the annotation on the LoadBalancer service. Services
which share the same VIP must have the same SharedIPKey. Defaults
to the IPAddressPool if SharedIP is true, but no SharedIPKey
specified.
type: string
required:
- endpoint
- ipAddressPool
```
For services which get registered to different OpenStack endpoint types a hash `map[service.Endpoint]service.RoutedOverrideSpec` is used, where the key is either `public` or `internal`.

Example:
Example: To expose the internal keystone endpoint using a MetalLB k8s LoadBalancer via the service override, the `LoadBalancer` type in the spec and required annotations in the metadata has to be set:
```yaml
externalEndpoints:
- endpoint: internal
ipAddressPool: internalapi
loadBalancerIPs:
- 172.17.0.80
sharedIP: true
sharedIPKey: ""
keystone:
apiOverride:
route: {}
template:
override:
service:
internal:
metadata:
annotations:
metallb.universe.tf/address-pool: internalapi
metallb.universe.tf/allow-shared-ip: internalapi
metallb.universe.tf/loadBalancerIPs: 172.17.0.80
spec:
type: LoadBalancer
```

Per default a `ClusterIP` k8s service gets created for the public API endpoint. The service operators set an annotation on the service which triggers the openstack-operator to expose this service using an OpenShift route. In case the public endpoint should be exposed using a `LoadBalancer` k8s service, the override for the service, as shown above, can be used again to define e.g. a MetalLB service to be used instead.

```
keystone:
apiOverride:
route: {}
template:
override:
service:
internal:
...
public:
metadata:
annotations:
metallb.universe.tf/address-pool: public
metallb.universe.tf/allow-shared-ip: public
metallb.universe.tf/loadBalancerIPs: 10.0.0.80
spec:
type: LoadBalancer
```
#### RabbitMQ
RabbitMQ instances can be exposed to an isolated network using the `externalEndpoint` parameter in the `OpenStackControlPlane` CRD.
RabbitMQ instances can be exposed to an isolated network in the same way. The RabbitMQ CRD supports service overrides which can be used to create a `LoadBalancer` type k8s service which allows connection to the service from an isolated network
**Note** multiple RabbitMQ instances can not share the same VIP as they use the same port. If multiple RabbitMQ instances need to be exposed to the same network distinct ip address have to be used.
```yaml
externalEndpoint:
description: ExternalEndpoint, expose a VIP via MetalLB
on the pre-created address pool
properties:
ipAddressPool:
description: IPAddressPool expose VIP via MetalLB on
the IPAddressPool
minLength: 1
type: string
loadBalancerIPs:
description: LoadBalancerIPs, request given IPs from
the pool if available. Using a list to allow dual
stack (IPv4/IPv6) support
items:
type: string
type: array
sharedIP:
default: true
description: SharedIP if true, VIP/VIPs get shared with
multiple services
type: boolean
sharedIPKey:
default: ""
description: SharedIPKey specifies the sharing key which
gets set as the annotation on the LoadBalancer service.
Services which share the same VIP must have the same
SharedIPKey. Defaults to the IPAddressPool if SharedIP
is true, but no SharedIPKey specified.
type: string
required:
- ipAddressPool
type: object
```

Example exposing two RabbitMQ instances to the internal api network:
```yaml
ipAddressPool: internalapi
sharedIP: false
