+Kole wetlands, which lies between Thrissur and Ponnani is one of the important Ramsar sites in India which also exists between central Asian Flyway of migratory birds. It is necessary to conserve and develop this wetlands by giving atmost importance.

+In accordance with 20th anniversary of OpenStreetMap, an event is conducting at Puzhakkal library, Muthuvara, Thrissur at 10.00 am, which aims to conduct a public review and consulation process for Thrissur - Ponnani Kole Wetlands, through an open mapping initiative.
