Building Coq installer for windows via debian cross-compilation --------------------------------------------------------------- Pierre Letouzey (@inria.fr) 1) Packages to install from an official debian squeeze : see $OFFICIAL_DEBS in common.sh If you want to create a specialized debian chroot for this purpose, see debootstrap.sh 2) Extra custom debian packages to install : see $CUSTOM_DEBS in common.sh On amd64, you can simply install the ones from the ./debs/ subdirectory. Otherwise on i386 you can build these packages from sources, more information on http://debian.glondu.net/mingw32/. Normally, something like this should work: dget --build http://debian.glondu.net/mingw32/mingw32-gtk2_2.22.1-20101227-1.dsc sudo dpkg -i mingw32-gtk2*.deb dget --build http://debian.glondu.net/mingw32/mingw32-camlp5_6.02.2-1.dsc sudo dpkg -i mingw32-camlp5*.deb dget --build http://debian.glondu.net/mingw32/mingw32-lablgtk2_2.14.2+dfsg-1.1.dsc sudo dpkg -i mingw32-lablgtk2*.deb 3) Get Coq sources and install them in ./coq-src, for instance via: svn co svn://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/branches/v8.4 ./coq-src or git clone git://scm.gforge.inria.fr/coq/coq-svn.git -b v8.4 ./coq-src 4) Build (after adapting version number in ./build and in coq-src/configure): ./build.sh NOTES: * This method only works for Coq 8.4 (and 8.3). Coq trunk is currently unsupported (extra dependencies about sourceview) * The ocaml packages (straight and mingw32) should have exactly the same version, as well as camlp5, since we share them during configure/coqdep/...
