Current LIVE Config Version 5.3.2 Repository Config Version 5.4.2
Hello there friend. It seems as though you've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?
Welcome to the world of Ascension of the Technomancer, a high difficulty alternative to typical "kitchen sink" type packs. This pack has a major focus on exploration, and features a high degree of cross mod integration. The recipes used in this pack were initially derived from a mix of FTB Infinity Evolved expert mode and InfiTech 2, but were heavily customized from there to ensure a unique modded Minecraft experience like no other.
Advent of Ascension, Hardcore Ender Expansion, and Twilight Forest, Advanced Rocketry, and The Aether II provide the player with more than 30 new planets and dimensions to explore across five star systems. Ore generation is a mix of GregTech style veins scattered clusters. This encourages exploration to find the next big deposit of essential resources, while not leaving you stuck if you can’t find the type of ore vein you need.
The tech side of the pack centers around GregTech 5 experimental, but includes all of the major tech mods (Thermal Expansion, EnderIO, MFR...) you’ve come to know and love. The magic side of the house features all of the major 1.7.10 magic mods, along with some less common fare like Ars Magica, and Aura Cascade to bring a unique twist to aspiring witches and wizards. Reika's mods Rotarycraft, ReactorCraft, and ChromatiCraft are also here, giving you the rare opportunity to experience some of the most challenging, engaging, and sophisticated mods ever written.
Survival challenges have been enhanced with Hunger Overhaul, Spice of Life, Harvestcraft, and Agricraft.  There are 100s of new mobs ranging from cute and fluffy woodland creatures to nightmarish eldritch horrors. All organized into custom spawn tables, written from the ground up with Just Another Spawner. The landscape is littered with countless; cities, ruins, castles, monuments, and dungeons that are filled with treasures for you to discover. The loot tables are heavily customized with hundereds different items to help you survie and thrive in this vast, harsh landscape.
All of this comes together to create one of the biggest modpacks ever made available, serving as a loving tribute to the epic 1.7.10 modding scene. Sure, there are now newer versions of modded Minecraft to explore, but nothing matching the vast scope of what was available for this release.
Do you consider yourself a Minecraft expert? Then welcome to your greatest challenge... or your undoing. Good luck friend, You're going to need it.
UPDATE1: Although I have been MIA for quite a while version 6.0.1 should be reviewed for go-live soon. Tons of new content and bugfixes to enjoy.
- A note about config version numbers - The least significant version number applies to config changes only, where that the middle number increments with mod versions. Although configs from newer versions of mods won't normally cause issues, there is a small chance so I figured I should mention it just in case. The most significant digit indicates a major structural change, i.e. a substantial content change. Mixing configs across major version updates is NOT recommended. Not all of the earlier releases follow this pattern exactly, but this standard is being maintained now and henceforth.
** Have an idea or useful tweak, pull requests are welcome and will be reviewed.

- Fixed unification exploit with the AnyIron and AnyCopper oredict entries and JABBA barrels. Also deactivated AnyCopper and AnyIron in AOBD and Technomancy pure ores
-- Version 4.3.8
- Disabled Baublelicious magic items because they have easy recipes. This mod should still allow for Botania and Thaumcraft baubles to be consolidated using the entangling items. If it doesn't then this mod will be pulled from the load out in a future release
-- Version 4.3.7
- Fixed GlobalProperties.cfg from JAS restore after update
- Added a special thanks section for users who have helped with bug tracking to the introduction page of the FTBUtils guide

-- Version 4.3.5

- Taint too common now (although ethereal blooms are basically free), dropped from 25 to 15. Wake up and smell the TAINT
-- Version 4.2.2
- Deactivated ore conversions in JWIN, GT5u is already doing this, a competing mod doing this is disruptive to controlled
- GT5u settings are the cause of passive mobs harming each other. 3 in a single block causes them to damage each other. This has been increased to 5
- Passive WATERCREATURE type enemies have had their spawn cap lowered 10->5 (Minecraft default with normal spawning), and spawn tick rate increased 10->100. Chunk spawning now enabled at the default rate of 0.1.

- Fix missing paren
-- Version 4.2.0 (Thermonuclear Shaft Update)
- Increased taint biome frequency again, still too rare
- One last fragment weight tweak. Fragments are a moderately common drop now
- Guide tweaks
- Stupid fragments, stupid loot table, just spawn when and were I tell you to.
- More weight for fragments!!! Custom weights and spawn counts don't seem to have an effect. However, multiple instances of fragments can be added to the loot table to simulate higher weights. Each instance added to the loot table will take the standard properties of a CC fragment record in that loot table (weight, min, and max)
- Another boost to ChromatiCraft fragment spawn weight
- Allow admins to open all guardian chests
- Coal coke now requires a compressor to turn into blocks
- Imm. Eng lightning rod now as a slightly easier recipe that Infinity Evolved

- During some non-Agricraft testing, it was observed that using a watering can is more than 2x as effective at inducing growth ticks in Agricraft crops. The growth tick multiplier was adjusted 1.0 -> 0.6
- Weeds will destroy crop sticks when the player doesn't use a rake.
- Mobius ingots are now a part of high tier HP upgrade canisters
- In game manual updated with more performance tips
