Open Tempescope made by Sergio

I built Ken's OpenTempescope with a size of 105 by 3704 mm. The case has been laser cut on a EPILog laser from a fusion Model I built and uploaded to http://a360.co/1IWaOBR Fell free to mod the design! The door for the electronic is at the bottom, because I thought it is nicer. Tempescope I had a couple of problems with the fan. It needs to be water tight because the fan is on the wet side. First I made a splash screen around the fan but this was even worse, since the water collected even more around the fan and the fogger didn't work anymore because the splash screen was above the fogger. Then I 3D printed another seal around the fan. At the end I drilled some holes into the control box in order to release the heat. I wrote an iphone app to fetch date from www.openweathermap.com. It's working but the code is not really good. I did have problems with async calls to the web service which I implemented with a thread wait instead of proper queues. If someone could improve it would be nice. Also the landscape orientation made me problems. The app is based on the OpenBLE and OpenWeatherAPI code which is also available on GitHub. Thanks for that.

The arduino code is changed in order to fetch regularly new weather forecasts. The time interval can be configured from the iPhone app.

Finally i added some images I made during construction of the OpenTempeScope.

If someone could contribute to the design would be fantastic.

Kind regards Sergio
