On July 19th, IBM released [Business Automation Manager Open Editions 8.0](https://www.ibm.com/common/ssi/cgi-bin/ssialias?htmlfid=760/ENUSJL22-0058&infotype=AN&subtype=CA).

**Red Hat Process Automation Manager** is the Business Process Management product from Red Hat, based on the open source project [jBPM](http://www.jbpm.org).
**Red Hat Process Automation Manager** moves in the **IBM** house and it will continue the Open Source commitment.

This demo aims to show some of the core capabilities of this powerful product.
IBM will continue to work on the upstream projects [jBPM](https://www.jbpm.org) and [Drools](https://drools.org/), which are the foundation of their enterprise grade product **Business Automation Manager Open Editions 8.0**.

**Red Hat Process Automation Manager version 7.13** is the last version released by **Red Hat** and is based on same build of open source libraries of **IBM Business Automation Manager Open Editions 8.0**: this makes the two products equivalent. In such way, Red Hat customers are able to smoothly move to the IBM release, because no changes will be required to their projects.

Auto Approve Decision

Even if this demo is focused on the process logic, the decision logic is a good example of **DMN** design.

[Order Approval](src/main/resources/com/example/order_management/order-approval.dmn) takes `Order Information` as input and decides whether or not to approve it.

Opening the DMN analyze the logic starting from _Decision Requirement Diagram_:

- The `Approve` _decision_ node return `true` if the price is less than the target price multiplied by the price tolerance coefficient.
- The `Price tolerance` is a _Business Knowledge Model_ which compute the price tolerance coefficient using a **decision table**.
