Lightweight & Open source Keyboard Indicator for Windows 10, 11
This app shows icons in the System tray (Task tray or Taskbar notification area) indicating the toggle key states (Num Lock, Caps Lock, Scroll Lock, and Insert).
It can send a balloon notification when the key state changes, and can start automatically after Windows sign in.
Written in C/C++ from scratch and directly calling Windows API, LOKI runs on less memory and no additional library dependencies, and thus is resource-friendly.

You can get the zip on Release
page.
Download, extract it and just double-click the LOKI.exe
.
Then simple icons will appear in the Task tray!
The icon color changes when the key state is toggled.
LOKI supports the Windows Dark/Light theme color. It dynamically adapts the icons to the system theme!
On these icons:
- Left click to toggle key state.
- Right click to show menu.
By Windows default, notification icons will hide in a while. You may want to change this behavior as following:
- Right click on the Taskbar, then select "Taskbar settings (with ⚙Gear icon)".
- On Windows 10, scroll down to "Notification area", then select first link. On Windows 11, you click to open the "overflow" setting there.
- Turn on LOKI icons' switch to always show the icons.
