DEM

QGIS Analysis

  • Download the DEM files in .tif format (Geotiff)
  • Open the files in the main window of QGIS

To merge the files:

  • Click Raster > Miscellaneous > Merge
  • Select all the open DEM files for the input file
  • Save the merged DEM to a new file for the output file (do not save to a temporary file)

For Contour Lines:

  • Click Raster > Extraction > Contour
  • Change interval between contour lines to 100.00 (you can adjust this as you wish - the smaller the interval the longer it will take to run the extraction)
  • Save to a new file for output file
