CurseForge Workaround

Not needed if you're using PollyMC 6.1 or newer

What is this for?

CurseForge requires that launchers have an API key to download mods, to get around this we can use a script to extract the official overwolf launcher's API key and use it with this launcher.

Instructions

Downloading and using the script

If you're using Windows right click this link and save link as getToken.py, then run it with python.

Otherwise open a terminal and run the following commands:

curl -o getToken.sh -L https://git.sakamoto.pl/domi/curseme/-/raw/meow/getToken.sh
chmod +x getToken.sh
./getToken.sh

This will create a file called token that contains the API key.

Using the API key

Now that we have the key, it can be used in the launcher by setting the CurseForge Core API key in the API keys tab in the APIs section of the launcher settings to the key in the first line of the token file.
