Welcome to the workflow wiki!

TCLK events explained, including events from the Time Line Generator, here.

Booster temperature monitoring: B:TPER21 is measured just above the GMPS PLC, where the PID loop runs on hardware. The known effect of increased temperature here is that the Booster orbit get bigger because the resulting GMPS current is slightly lower than it should be. Note that this effects the PID regulator in this way, but have a completely different effect (or no effect) on the new FPGA AI-based system. Jason suspects that this should mean that in the data, the set points B_VIMIN and B_VIMAX are moved a little higher by experts, whenever this temperature gets higher than usual. More devices monitoring temperature:

  • B:TAH290 - Temp Air Handler 290 Out
  • B:TRRF11 - Temp Rooftop @BRF11 Out (RadioFreq Cavity Station 11)
  • B:TRRF09 - Temp Rooftop @BRF11 Out (RadioFreq Cavity Station 09)
  • B:TAH299 - Temp Air Handler 299 Out
  • B:TGMPSR - Temp GMPS Roaming Mon (Re-positionable? If so, difficult to use unless time of relocations all well known.)
  • B:GMPSVT - GMPS VXI Temperature
  • B:GMPSTT - GMPS Xductor Temperature (Jason asks if this is the magnetic transductor in the B-dot setup.)
