hey @begss thanks for the PR. However, this repo is a lua version of the community one and it seems both community and the original version do not have that option so until they do so I will keep it that way for now. You can still manually change the ctermbg and guibg to get that result

Well, sadly, it simply doesn't work. It takes no effect if placed in config, probably because of async startup.
