Changes in Moderation 1.8.22 since Moderation 1.8.9

Features:

  • Support MediaWiki 1.43.
  • Support temporary accounts.
  • Support visual editing mode of MobileFrontend editor.
  • If trying to Approve fails due to null edit, the change is now automatically rejected.

Bugfixes:

  • "Edit change" now truncates very long edit summaries instead of showing an error.
  • "Continue editing" link now points to VisualEditor if the user just used VisualEditor.
  • Fixed "moderation-merged" tag being unnecessarily added if the moderator didn't modify the page while using modaction=merge.

Test results

This version is stable and has passed all unit tests (with MediaWiki 1.39, 1.40, 1.41, 1.42, 1.43),
as well as manual tests of MobileFrontend and VisualEditor.

NOTE: Extension:VisualEditor itself is under active development and its internals often undergo breaking changes. If you use VisualEditor with MediaWiki >=1.43, you should use the newest version of Moderation, not this release.
