### 1. Registering the app in `App Store Connect`
Firstly, we need to create our app
in [`App Store Connect`](https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/).
In here, you will be able to define your app name/description,
screenshots, set pricing
and manage releases to the `App Store` or `TestFlight`.
`TestFlight` is a separate environment
that you can invite a limited number of people
to test your apps before releasing them
into the `App Store`.
To register the app, we'll need to do two things:
- register a **unique `Bundle ID`**.
- and create an **application record on `App Store Connect`**.
#### Register your `Bundle ID`
Every iOS application has a `Bundle ID` associated with it.
It uniquely identifies it with Apple.
To create your `Bundle ID`,
open the `App IDs` page of the developer account.
Under `Certificates, IDs & Profiles`,
click on `Identifiers`.

Then click on the `+` sign to create a new `Bundle ID`.
Click on the `App ID` option,
and follow through the wizard to fill out the details.
At the end, click on `Register` to register your new `Bundle ID`.

Your `Bundle ID` will usually follow
the following format:
`com.mycompany.myapp`
It includes the domain of your company
and the name of the app.
#### Create an application record on `App Store Connect`
Let's create our application record
on `App Store Connect`.
Open https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/ in your browser.
You can also access this Apple Developer Account overview window,
and click on `Apps`.

Then, click on the `+` sign and select `New App`.
Fill in your app details in the form that appears
and click `Create`.

Make sure to select the `Bundle ID`
you've created previously in the `Bundle ID` dropdown bar.
