⧗ input: refactor: make sorting work in dashboard
In dashboard only the plugin is used, the sorting cannot rely on the app since there is no Redux store available.
The sorting need to be working with local state inside the plugin.
The refactoring implements this local state while using a callback in
app mode for storing the sorting details in the Redux store which is
needed for saving the sorting details in the AO.
