Update TS to 1.24 and update deps; provides new names and fixes all current secvulns
Use 'Step' instead of 'Communicator'
A few misc touchups:
Attempt to fix GH workflows that were broken during code reorg
fix webockets linter issues
change empyrical to use "step" instead of communicator
Future work needs noted:
eslint plugin was not updated, I will do this after improving eslint plugin package deps
KafkaJS lib is not yet published officially
