The CGAP (Computational Genome Analysis Platform) ecosystem is composed of many repositories that have been developed over a number of years. Our goal is to use this wiki as a central source for high-level and cross-repository documentation of the CGAP project. However, we're very conscious of the fact that there's more to open source than just dumping text into an open source repository. For more information on our current approach to open source and how it relates to the future of CGAP, see the Future of CGAP section below.
Please view our Contribution Guide before creating any issues or posts. Wiki editing will be limited to collaborators for the foreseeable future; we hope we will eventually be able to relax that restriction. Meanwhile, if you have a suggestion for a wiki page or edit, please contact us at [email protected].
Our goal is to build a strong, robust, and supportive community of multidisciplinary users and contributors that can help make CGAP the best tool it can be.
The first step in that is making it possible at all to create more than one CGAP. Originally, that was not possible, but we've spent over a year prototyping and testing the technology needed to create high quality, secure, deployments in a relatively automatic way. Some configuration and tuning is still needed, but we're making definite progress, and testing that with a small number of hospital systems.
The next step going forward is to make all of that possible to do in a self-serve way. We're aiming to have this new set of tools ready for public testing in 2023, and will update here once more information is available, or if plans change. Until then, support from our team may be necessary to get CGAP up-and-running on your cloud infrastructure. If you're interested in doing this for your organization, please contact us at [email protected].
