Drive Customer-facing Defects downwards by correlating Support Requests with Defects (Bugs), such that product delivery teams can see what is in the field, and what is considered Business Critical to fix.
🚫 Zero Defect Policy: Declare all issues discovered during the course of working through a Story are treated as new sub-tasks and gate the delivery of the Story. This provides for all "Bug" or "Defect" issues to be reported as "escaping" and are customer-facing. Constraining the scope results in defect prevention measures and far fewer issues to track in the field. Ideally, a team should be able to count defects on two hands 👐, with business critical issues bubbling to the top of the active backlog or escalate above all other work.
This JIRA 7.5.x Add-on (6.4.2 also available) is a plugin with 3 gadgets (Defect (Bug) Density reporting integrated with Support Request traffic), 2 in-page web panels with traffic light feedback of Support Request sentiment and count traffic, 2 JQL functions, and workflow helper functions. The suite of tools augment using the Jira issue tracking platform to raise the visibility of the Voice of the Customer (VoC) and correlation of defects to the product delivery teams.
