How to Use SWELF

In the mean time here goes the typed version.

Setup Instructions

  1. Copy the Example files to a Directory on your machine that you wish to run SWELF from.
  2. Edit the config files to what you want using the instructions from HERE
  3. Run SWELF Several times and check your windows event logs for any issues SWELF is having.
  4. Once you start seeing SWELF recording other event logs to its own setup SWELF to run as you want it to. Some Ideas can be found HERE

NOTES:

SWELF will need the files in the Knowledgebase in order to run. The files must be in the correct spot.

If they are not SWELF will make default configs for you to edit.

This app has no output to the screen (makes it faster) everything it thinks the operator need to know will be logged in eventlog and/or local log file.

On first run if nothing is setup right you will have to run the app several times so it can make its default config files. At this point since its early release id recommend following the examples as close as possible.
