Instructions to run the app

Prerequisites

• Android Phone¹
• Android Studio - Download and install Note that Android Studio takes up ~2.0GB

Clone project from Github in Android Studio

1. Go to File > New > Project from Version Control...
2. In the pop-up screen, for the Version control, choose Git from the dropdown menu.
3. Paste the following link (https://github.com/callyanne/KitchenPal.git) in URL and choose your Directory.
4. CLick on the CLone.

Running the app

Running app in virtual devices

1. Go to Tools > Device Manager
2. Click Create device
3. Select any device and click Next (Pixel 4a is used for the project video)
4. CLick Download that is beside the Release Name Sv2
5. Select Sv2 and click Next
6. Click Finish
7. Go to Run > Run 'app'

- Running app on a hardware device

1. On the device, open Settings and select Developer options, then enable USB debugging

Note: If you do not see Developer options follow the instructions to enable it.

2. Connect to your device using USB
3. Press Run in Android Studio
4. After the app shows on your device, you can choose to unplug the USB for your convenience
